Members and staff of the NSW Independent Liquor & Gaming Authority (ILGA) visited Canterbury Leagues Club for the Hospitality and Racing (H&R) Regulatory Roadshow last month.
The event helped hospitality venue operators in Canterbury Bankstown to stay informed about key regulatory developments, emerging hospitality and gaming trends, and practical initiatives to support compliance, safety and business growth.
ILGA Chairperson Caroline Lamb said the roadshow gave the Authority the chance to meet stakeholders and hear how teams across H&R supported industry.
“The Regulatory Roadshow was a great opportunity for the Authority to catch up with industry stakeholders and learn about a range of important H&R initiatives which help industry to stay up-to-date with their obligations,” Ms Lamb said.
“We also heard how Canterbury Bankstown hospitality venues are passionate about actively supporting the communities they serve and examples of what operators do in this area is something which the Authority hopes to see more of in applications.
“It was also positive to see local government, Aboriginal and community stakeholders meet H&R leadership to discuss alcohol-related harm minimisation, gambling harm reduction and venue sustainability.
“The Authority looks forward to participating in future H&R events.”
